The funny thing about being on a site like youtube.com is the feeling of rolling along and an urge to not stop. The continuous reaction off of current circumstances, you follow the click bait which is tailored to you or ‘recommended for you’, judging on what you have been looking at. This can go even deeper if you log in.

”The silent treatment; where the total lack of information drips with ex formation and tension and meaning. This is the modern art, communicating without communicating and we do it intentionally, don’t we?

We know that being vague has power, * because we know it gets unpacked on the other end by peoples hopes and wishes and dreams. We closely crop our profile pictures, letting other people fill in the rest with their own desires.” – zefrank1

*like surrealism film, made to be vague or not understood

Definition:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exformation

I looked up the definition and apparently the term ‘exformation’ was used by Tor Nørretranders in ‘The User Illusion: Cutting Consciousness Down to Size’. I will order it and have a read. It ties into my ideas about our relationships with screens. I want to investigate how we have relationships through a 2d platform. How they warp our perceptions of previous realities. Today in our methodology seminar we talked about Vito Acconci, the direct address, persuasion and seduction. Also about Freud and the subconscious mind, ect, I will write a post on that semminar.
