Right? Writing, yes, writing time.

Time to write.

Engage brain activity.

Back from work into art land.

Lovely, lovely art land.

Currently I have Unit 5 and Unit 6 to ponder and wonder at.

I forgot to bring my notes, and there’s no internet at the flat.

Don’t forget your apostrophes.

I only have an hour till I need to leave for dinner and my trial shift, I’ve never been there before, but it’s called the Battersea Barge, turn me into a sturdy, sea sure, sea legged worker bee please, thanks.

Unit 6;

Had a tutorial with Paul Tarrago, my Patronus for this year, good chat, feeling more prepared for the year, more relaxed, ready to crack down, bite into a project.

– Two day brief, tell yourself it’s not important, warm up exercises, remember your process.

-Tricking the mind into thinking your doing something the doesn’t mean anything, this creates a safer space for your over thinking brain.

A couple of gallery suggestions:

William Kentridge at White Chapel, animations that make you swoon, yep.

‘The Coloney’ Dinh Q. Le at the Bussey Building, Peckham. ‘A spectacle’ – Quoting Paul.  https://www.artangel.org.uk/project/the-colony/

Unrelated but; I also want to go to that exhibition Millie and Luc mentioned, on The Strand, apparently there’s a Martin Creed film in there. Maybe if I write it down in enough places I’ll go.

-Thinking about what I want to continue from next year, we had a lecture from Paul about the use of the flicker in animation / fine art film, I want to look into that idea with all my footage and photography thats been building up, all those times the camera has been an extension of my arm, in some of them it’s not even contrived, would you believe. This is either an idea for a two day -not important- brief or maybe it will grow like a pretty little flower; sweet.
